The Isle of Man, located in the centre of the Irish Sea and dating back to 650
BC, boasts breathtaking landscapes, including a rugged shoreline. A full-day
trip to the island's north includes a visit to Laxey to see the renowned "Lady
Isabella," the world's biggest functioning waterwheel, as well as a stop in
Ramsey. There is a day at leisure in Douglas, and a full-day tour of the South
includes a train journey to Port Erin and a visit to the Cregneash National
Folk Museum, which provides insight into traditional Manx farming and the croft way of life. Time has also been
set aside to see Peel, the greatest example of a traditional Manx town.

Your Hotels
Chesterhouse Hotel, Douglas HHH
Located on the Promenade overlooking Douglas.
Not suitable for people requiring wheelchair
access as there are several steps from the road to
the front entrance. The hotel has a lift.
Rutland Hotel, Douglas HHH
Situated at the northern end of Douglas
Promenade overlooking Douglas Bay, the 3-star
hotel offers contemporary accommodation and a
bright and airy restaurant. The hotel has a lift, but
the steep entrance does make this hotel
unsuitable for people with extreme walking
difficulties. The tastefully decorated bedrooms all
have TV, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer.
Empress Hotel, Douglas HHH
An elegant 3-star Victorian hotel that enjoys a
central position on the promenade overlooking
Douglas Bay, and within walking distance of the
town centre. The hotel has a very nice restaurant
and bar. There is a lift. Steps at the front of the
hotel can be avoided by using lower-level access.
However, there are several steps in corridors and
public areas. All the traditional bedrooms have TV,
tea/coffee facilities and hairdryer.
