train journey and picturesque
Dartmoor scenery. We start in the
historic, maritime city of Plymouth,
famous for Sir Frances Drake, who
finished a game of bowls on
Plymouth Hoe, returning on a
picturesque journey through the
heart of the Dartmoor National
Park. We board a steam train
along a stunning stretch of
coastline to Kingswear and enjoy a
circular river cruise from
Dartmouth, before finally enjoying
some free time in Torquay and
Paignton.

A mid-week tour combining a
relaxing cruise along the Grand
Western Canal, a railway journey,
and time in the coastal resorts of
Somerset and Devon. Enjoy tea and scones which will be served on
arrival at the hotel. A morning in Tiverton gives us some free time
before a gentle canal cruise by horse-drawn barge. Join the West
Somerset Railway (Britain9s longest steam railway) at Bishop9s Lydeard,
for a scenic ride through the Quantock Hills to the resort of Minehead
and, here too, we will have some free time. A tour of the delightful
villages of Devon is next on the list as we head North to the market
town of Barnstaple, with an interesting stop at the Quince Honey Farm
en-route.

This popular hotel is located on the outskirts of
Tiverton town centre. The large, open-plan bar
provides plenty of seating, with the Gallery
Restaurant. All bedrooms have tea/coffee
facilities, TV, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. The
hotel does not have a lift but there are plenty
of ground floor rooms.
